Yummy & Easy Pizza

This recipe is for pizza, dough and all. The recipe makes two thin-crust pizzas, or one thick-crust pizza. You can freeze dough for use later.

Ingredients for Dough:

1.5 Packages (3 Teaspoons) 15ml Active Dry Yeast
1.5 Teaspoons +
1.5 Tablespoons

1.5 Cups 355ml Water, Room Temperature
3 Tespoons 15ml Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
4.125 Cups 975ml Bread or All-Purpose Flour

Directions:

  1. Stir yeast, 1.5 Teaspoons (10ml) sugar, and 1.5 Tablespoons (25ml) flour into water in a large mixing bowl, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in one third of the flour, and beat with a wooden spoon until gooey.
  3. Once well mixed, add olive oil and 1.5 Tablespoons sugar.
  4. Add another third of the flour and mix.
  5. Slowly blend part of the remaining third of the flour until the water is absorbed.
  6. Knead the dough with your hands until smooth (about 5 minutes).
  7. Let rise for about 1 hour.
  8. Punch the dough down.
  9. If you are only making one, thin-crust pizza, divide the dough in half, and freeze one half for later use.
  10. Grease the pizza pan(s) with olive oil.
  11. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, and place on pan.
  12. Pre-heat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  13. Add toppings (see below), and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  14. Remove from oven, and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
